Why I Started the Pawsome Portraits Project.
As a professional photographer in Wellington, I wanted to combine my love for dogs and photography into something meaningful. That’s how the idea for Pawsome Portraits was born—a project where I offer high-quality in-studio dog photoshoots, capturing each dog’s personality in stunning, professional portraits. But I didn’t want it to stop at photos; I wanted to give back to the animals who aren’t as fortunate as our pets.
That’s why I partnered with HUHA (Helping You Help Animals), New Zealand’s leading no-kill animal shelter. By booking a session with Pawsome Portraits, you’re not only getting incredible photos of your dog but also supporting a charity that works tirelessly to help animals in need.
Supporting HUHA: A Cause Close to My Heart
The mission of HUHA, to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals, is something I care deeply about. HUHA has saved thousands of domestic and wild animals across New Zealand, and by donating a portion of every Pawsome Portraits booking, I’m excited to help them continue their incredible work.
For each dog photoshoot you book, a portion of the session fee goes directly to HUHA to help fund their rescue operations. This way, your photoshoot does more than capture your pet’s personality—it also contributes to making a difference for animals in need.

How You Can Get Involved
Our next Pawsome Portraits day is on Sunday, 20th October, and spots are limited. By booking a session, you’re securing professional dog portraits that you’ll cherish forever, while knowing that a portion of your booking is helping animals in need.
Each session includes either a 30-minute shoot with 10 high-resolution images or a 15-minute shoot with 5 high-resolution images, depending on the package you choose. Both options include a donation to HUHA, so every booking makes a difference.
